More than a Fly Shop
Some of Jon’s favorite memories don’t begin with a fish.
They begin with his Grandpa Quentin.
Long before there was a fly shop, there were quiet mornings spent following Grandpa down the river. As a young boy, there was nothing quite like the feeling of being trusted to wander just a little farther upstream. It felt like freedom. The river was big, the adventure was real, and even though Grandpa was never far behind, it was enough to make a kid feel like he had grown up.
Those days weren’t just about catching trout. They were about learning patience, noticing the world around you, solving little problems, and discovering that some of life’s best conversations happen while standing in the water with a fly rod in your hand.
Those memories never left.
Today, Jon gets to relive those same moments with his own sons. In a world that constantly asks us to move faster, fly fishing has become an excuse to slow down. To put the phone away. To leave the notifications behind. To spend a morning outside, breathe fresh air, and simply enjoy being together.
That is what Honey Fly was built around.
